Trying to get back into updating my blog.  I figured that since I signed up for the marathon I should try and keep track of my training.  Short day today, I had to leave early for a College Final, but tried to stay around with the team for as long as I could.  Ten minute warm-up then 4 x 400's.  1:21; 20; 20; 21.  The girls were doing really well at staying consistant! Afterwards did a short cooldown.   Good run today.

Ran with the girls down toward the river and helped the Running Center with posting flyers for the Half that's coming up.  We then ran up the river.  The team was a little off the wall today...  Legs were starting to feel a little sore, another reminder that I need to stretch and roll.  Good run today.

Another easy run.  Went out into Sandburgs.  Legs were feeling a lot better, but still wore the sleeves to help with staying fresh.  After getting back with the girls I decided to add on just a little, not much but still felt good.

I got off work a little later than usual, and wasn't able to make it to most of practice.  I showed up right as the team was finishing, and did some of their cool down.  Only got a mile in but some is better than none.

Chukawalla-8-- Was able to run with some members of my old high school xc team! Good to see and run with old friends.  I showed up early at the chuckawalla trailhead in order to get a few extra miles in.  Was able to get a good three miles before anyone showed up.  Then with Devo, JP, Jared Ells, Allie Jo, and Brian from canyon view, we went 5 miles.  Good run today, legs felt great and I felt like I had a lot of energy.  Beautiful views.

Neon Spider-4.5--   Was finally able to make it to practice with the team again today.  It's the last practice before they head up to State, so I'm glad that I was.  Just an easy, chill run today.  Weather was nice, and legs felt really good.  My stomach felt really heavy though,  probably from that whole large pizza that I ate for lunch...  But other than that and a few of the girls screaming their heads off resulting in what I am pretty sure is premature deafness for me... It was a really good run.

Treadmill-5--  Went to the gym today.  Did a few machine things.  Not sure what they are called... But mostly was on the tready.  Not a huge fan of treadmills, but for the most part, I felt really good.  Picked up the pace a bit for the last mile, nothing to crazy up enough to get the heart pumping.

Turtle Trail-5-- Drove out to Washington Elementary and enjoyed a nice run out in the desert.  For the first mile or so, my legs and body in general felt really tired and heavy.  But then started to feel really well for the next three miles, the last mile I started getting aches in my stomache and calves.  Need to start eating better and stretching more.  Today was kind of like a big milestone for me...  today was the first time in three years that my torso has seen the sun!  haha how awkward is that?

AM: Bloomington North Park, 7.5-  I was excited to be able to run with the team again.  Not having work today helped with that.  I felt really good today.  Legs were a little tired at the beginning of the run, but loosened up the farther into it we got.  towards the end, my body was starting to feel tired and I was glad we finished when we did.

PM: Hospital/Treadmill, 7-  Ran down to the hospital and back this afternoon.  It was very hot.  Legs felt fairly good, a little tired feeling but nothing bad.  on the way back, my lunch decided that it didn't want to agree with me and i got a pretty bad side ache.  After walking for a couple minutes, it went away and i continued running home.  Afterwards, I did a few miles on the Tready to get the milage in while staying out of the heat.

AM: River Trail, 7-  Got up early before work and ran down river road, connected to the trail and came back up 2450 E. on to home.  I was wanting to add another mile or two, but realized that I didn't have enough time if I wanted to still get to work on time.  Legs felt really good this morning!  Im not a huge fan of running alone, but this morning wasn't too bad.  I felt great and the temperature was nice.  Overall, a great run.

PM: Treadmill, 5-  Rather than face the heat, Although it hasn't been as bad the last couple days...  I decided to hit the Tready again.  just an easy 5.  Not to fast, not to slow.  It felt good to just take an easy day.  I used to hate running on treadmills, and while I still am not a fan, I like them more than I used to.

PM: Downtown, 5.75-  Ran with Andrew toward the temple.  We didn't quite make it all the way before we needed to turn around.  We had a pretty good pace going and my legs felt great until about a mile left to go.  After that, I got this really bad side ache and a not too pleasant heart burn.  But other than that, it was a great run. Nice to be able to run with someone again and talk with Andrew.

PM: Treadmill, 5- Today felt really good.  At first the legs were tired, but only becasue of the mondayness of the day.  With how much I used to hate running on treadmills, I am surprised with how much I enjoy them.  Still would much rather not run on the tready though.  I guess the fact that I can watch a movie at the same time helps...

PM: Treadmill, 5.5- I felt really good today.  Legs felt fresh.  I was only planning on five miles, but I felt so good that I would have gone a few more miles had I not have had to leave.  I was sad to have missed practice today.

AM: Wash Elm, 1.5-  Not much today.  I woke up late and was only able to put in a few minutes before practice and then I had to leave to work before we had started the workout.  I was hoping to be able to get an afternoon run in but unfortunately I had a lot of things that had to get done today and they all took longer than I had anticipated.

PM; Tready, 3.5-  just an easy run on the treadmill today.  I wasn't feeling like running in the heat this afternoon...  man is it hot!  overall felt pretty good.

PM: Tready, 5.5-  simple easy run today.  legs were feeling a little tired.  felt like stopping at 3 but decided that that wouldn't have been very productive for me.  after getting to about 4 miles or so, I started feeling a little better.  I noticed that my shins and calves are feeling a bit tight.

PM: SunriseTire, 3.5-  Ran with the team during afternoon practice today.  Without a car anymore it has been difficult being able to make it to practice in the mornings and still make it to work on time.  once school starts it will help out with my schedule though.  anyway, I was wanting to do about 5 miles today, but my back hurt super bad.  I'm not sure what's up with it, probably slept on it funny.  So decided to take it back a little.

PM: Home, 4.75-  I decided to take the day off running yesterday in hopes of helping my back feel better.  It seemed to have worked.  Today I felt extremely better.  Since I no longer have a car of mine own, I have no way to get to work unless I am given a ride, bike, ... or I run.  I got a ride to work this morning and then ran home.  It was really hot but didn't actually seem too bad.  back is feeling better, legs are feeling better.  overall a good run.

AM: Work, 6.25- Ran to work this morning.  It started out great.  I was feeling really good and energetic, and then my bowels decided that they no longer wanted to feel good. I was able to get to a place to relieve mineself before an explosion happened.  Afterwards, I get to about 1 1/2 miles left when it starts to pour down rain like no tomorrow.  So when I get to work, I am soaked to the bone.  It felt really good actually.  Legs felt really strong this morning as well! Overall a great run!

PM: Home, 4.5-  Ran home from work again.  right from the get-go I knew this was going to be a long run.  It was hot and my legs were super tired.  But dispite this, I started off with a decent pace.  At about halfway home, I got really tired.  My body just seemed drained.  I'm not sure why.  I stopped to rest in the shade for a minute or two which helped me regain some energy.  I finished at a considerablly slower pace than when I had begun.  I am hoping it is just one of those beginning of the week slumps.
