| | Weather was amazing, I ate lunch today. Didn't feel that sick, only had to blow my nose a few times today. I had to get 5 miles fast for the first time in a while. Ran hard, and pushed myself, especially on the last mile. Did a 5:28 average, my goal was to get 5:30 or under, so I'm happy. I think I'm ready for the Simplot. | Add Comment |

Simplot games 3200 (2 Miles) 00:09:40, Place overall: 6, Place in age division: 4 | | Did a warm up on the track, then did another with Jerrel after the track closed. Get ready for the race, and went to the starting line. I was in the first heat with Dallin Farnsworth, Jerrel Mock, and Ben Sarrel. I wasn't even planning on getting in the front ever during it, but nobody started a fast pace after the first lap or two, so I went out in front and led the race for a few laps. Dallin and Ben I think just wanted to qualify, and then kick it at the race Saturday. Later they both passed me and Finished 8 seconds ahead of me. At the end I didn't see anyone behind my on the big screen, so I stopped at the finish, and was passed by someone who beat me by .14 seconds. How sad, but that was just the preliminaries. I qualified, and so did Jerrel, while he was sick, he didn't think he was going to, but he still did. | Comments(2) |

Simplot 3200 championships (2 Miles) 00:09:45, Place overall: 7, Place in age division: 7 | | Did a warm up by myself, stretched and got ready. I was sooo nervous, and I think that messed me up. I was hoping to get a PR, but didn't make it. We started out and I tried keeping up with the pack, but lost it after the first mile(4:45) and slowed down because I didn't have anyone to pace with. I think I could've pushed it a lot at the second mile, but I just didn't becuase I couldn't catch up to anyone to help me keep a good pace, and I couldn't keep a good pace without someone else. At the second to last lap Dallin Farnsworth was going to lap me, or getting close, so I went in the second lane to not get in his way, he was shooting for the Meet Record, and he didn't pass me. I later got paced by someone and outsprinted them at the last 60 meters, which I'm surprised about, by .05 seconds. | Comments(2) |
