Running Accomplishments:

Pre-high school: I ran a lot of local 5ks and a few half marathons.  I didn't do a ton of training, but I just had fun, and I got more serious about it as high school got closer.

High school: I enjoyed running a lot, especially cross country.  I originally did track to keep my in shape for cross country.  I ran at Footlocker Nationals, the Adidas Dream mile, Brooks PR Invitational, world xc junior championships, and a few local 5ks.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Make sure I have fun, not get burned out, and get faster.

School records in the 5km and 10km.

Personal:

Served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from July 2015-July 2017.  I gained 30 lbs. during the service and came back out of shape; however I knew that if the Lord wanted me to once again run competitively, he would bless me to return to fitness.

I graduated from Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah. I currently run for Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Did a warm up on the track, then did another with Jerrel after the track closed.  Get ready for the race, and went to the starting line.  I was in the first heat with Dallin Farnsworth, Jerrel Mock, and Ben Sarrel.  I wasn't even planning on getting in the front ever during it, but nobody started a fast pace after the first lap or two, so I went out in front and led the race for a few laps.  Dallin and Ben I think just wanted to qualify, and then kick it at the race Saturday.  Later they both passed me and Finished 8 seconds ahead of me.  At the end I didn't see anyone behind my on the big screen, so I stopped at the finish, and was passed by someone who beat me by .14 seconds.  How sad, but that was just the preliminaries.  I qualified, and so did Jerrel, while he was sick, he didn't think he was going to, but he still did.

Great time Conner - 9:40 is smoking indoors!

Thanks, but I'm afraid I might've peaked a bit early, and might either need a break or need to take it easy for week to make sure I peak at state, but I'm not sure.
