Running Accomplishments:

Pretty new. Have done some training for specific Army competitions which have got me running a pretty decent amount, but by no means incredible.

5k-  21:00 (Oct. 2008)

10 mile- (upcoming)

1/2 marathon- (haven't done it yet)

Marathon - Hopefully this year...

Short-Term Running Goals:

Sub 19:00 5k

Run one marathon within the next 12 months

Stay healthy this year. Coming off of a bad shin splint which took about 3-4 months to fully recover.

Build back up to 60+ miles a week

Long-Term Running Goals:

Finish a marathon sub 3:00:00 

Personal:

A CPT in the US Army stationed at Fort Benning, GA. I've three wonderful kids and the best wife I could ask for. Been away from the running scene for a while, and I sure miss it. Trying to make a comeback!

First day back! It was glorious to be back out running, I felt kind of tired definitely, but good to be back. The leg hasn't bothered me at all and I got a decent pace in as well.

7:45   7:14   7:32 + .36 @ 2:29 = 7:27 AP

I have started to run as a forefoot striker now as well. Hopefully that will help with some little injuries. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Today's run was good. Slower than yesterday, although th:e last .25 or so I did quite a bit faster and ended up getting down to a 4:00 min/mile pace, just a sprint to the finish line. Probably shouldn't have done it because I can kind of feel my shin splint, so I may take another day or two off.
