PM: Workout - Slightly different course.  Young Ward out and back via the Planet Walk and Icon (11 miles).  Not a bad course.  It keeps you away from the busy roads for the most part.  Planet Walk was a bit hairy though with it being dark and covered in ice.  I was lucky to break 7:30 for those 2 miles.  I did 3 miles warmup at 6:55 ave then did 5 miles at Tinman Tempo pace (6:15-6:20) varying a bit due to ice on the road.  That was followed with a 3 mile cooldown.  It was sure nice to get off the treadmill and get some real running in.

First run of the new year.  I decided to make it an even 10 miles.  I ran from the in-laws down to the Jordan River Parkway and south along it until I hit 5 miles.  It was pretty nice weather.  Windy but warm (35°).  The trail was in pretty good shape 90% clear.

The good news is that I beat the storm and got to run in 40 degree weather.  The bad news is that I stepped in a huge puddle.

Paul met me at my house and we took of tour of Providence and Millville.  The roads were pretty iffy but runnable.  It sure beat the treadmill, that's for sure.  I dropped off Paul at the gym and did another loop of River Heights before heading home.  I didn't get in the 15 that I wanted to run, but since my entire household is sick, that is probably wise at this point.
