Trail Run - Well actually it was in the snow, but I tried. I broke out my new micro spikes I got and gave them a shot. They seemed to work great, but I was forging a new trail that was at times mid shin deep and others just to the top of the shoe. I can see the value of the extra traction on the packed stuff, but on this powder, it didn't do that much. It was great to get out in the 7 degree weather and run some hills. I ran the deer fence trail out and back. Those hills are a lot steeper when you are out of shape and when they are covered in snow. Very slow going, but pain free. Definite improvement this week. Horray. T- 46:56 (11:42) 450' vertical ** Yearly summary to follow...Maybe tomorrow or next week.
