Update -

Not sure if it was the massage or the 4 miles I ran on Saturday (or both), but it has set me back a few days.  I think I have finally diagnosed the problem.  Tendonitis.  The massage sure was nice, there were numerous knots and tight/sore spots all over.  They were definitely contributing to the pain.  There were a lot of muscles pulling on the inflamed section.

I have been icing and keeping all activity to a minimum.  It is improving daily and might actually be healing.  Its been nice to take a break, but I sure do miss the outdoors.  One of these days I will be back at it.  Better wait until it stops hurting though.

I'm sorry about all this Cody. I had to go five or six weeks without running this summer and it was extremely frustrating. I did a lot of walking, which at least got me out doors and kept me from getting too fat.

Good luck.

Take care of that and be patient. Plenty of days to run when the sun comes out again.

You better run at least .15 more miles this year...

I was just going to say what Jon did. he beat me.hey- can you go cross country skiing or is that going to be hard onthe calves too? I am betting that would be good cross training. lets go.

Do you have a subscription to Trail Runner magazine?

From Cody on Fri, Dec 17, 2010 at 10:13:12 from 67.137.240.195

I will get out running soon.

It hurt to walk but now it doesn't. That is progress. Any cross-training hurts it at this point (or at least earlier in the week).

No I do not Jon. Did you make the cover?

From Jon on Sat, Dec 18, 2010 at 17:57:30 from 74.177.125.243

No. Would you read them, though?

Yep
