Bear 100 tomorrow -

Haven't run in forever now and I think I have lost my mind.  Not sure how the leg will hold up.  Pretty sure that I will be quite broken by Saturday.  My hammy is still messed up, my kneecap is doing much better (it almost doesn't hurt now to kneel), and my ITB is happy (cause I have done nothing on it for weeks now).  So, its a crapshoot.

I am excited though (that is an understatement) and looking forward to running as long as my leg will let me then walking as long as my leg will let me.

Goal 1: FINISH at all costs

Goal 2: Sub 24 hours (I can do this assuming my leg survives)

Goal 3: Beat Hal (in my dreams)

Glad to hear everything is at least still in the works for tomorrow. Have fun with it and just enjoy it. Obviously not the ideal situation going in but it seems like your plan is taking these things into account.

Fantastic taper! Just keep in mind that the race doesn't really start until after 70 miles or so and if you think you're going too slow before then you're probably going too fast. You'll do great. Don't forget to have fun and enjoy the scenery.

I bet something new hurts worse than any of those previous injuries! Even healthy, your body will be broken by Saturday. And even if you walk the last 50 miles, go finish this sucker. Good luck, man, and have fun. Enjoy the free food at the aid station, too!
