Big Workout -

Last morning in Denver so I took advantage of the bike trail for one more day.  The goal was warmup - 1 mile tinman tempo then 6x3 min at CV pace (estimate at 5:40) with 1 min rest in-between then finish with 1 more mile of tt.  It didn't go as well as I hoped due to major fatigue, but I did my best.  I went:

5 miles warmup (7:20-7:37 ave)

1 mile tempo - 6:22 rolling up

Rep 1: 5:43 pace - rolling

Rep 2: 5:53 pace - rolling up

Rep 3: 5:55 pace - rolling up

Rep 4: 5:50 pace - rolling down

Rep 5: 5:57 pace - flat

Rep 6: 5:58 pace - flat

1 mile tempo- 6:15 rolling down

As you can see, after the first rep, I knew I was in trouble and wasn't going to hit my times.  I decided to finish the workout and at least try.  It ended up being mostly MP miles, but that is better than nothing.  Oh, well, at least I got to sit in the car for 9 hours and drive home as a recovery.  Fun stuff.

Good news of the weekend was that our house that we are selling went under contract!  We now have 3 weeks then we are homeless until sometime in December when our house is finished being built.  Hmmm, should make life interesting...

Congrats on selling the house. 3 weeks, huh?

From paul on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 09:48:31

Good news on the house. Aren't we supposed to be in a housing crisis? Or a recession? Makes you wonder...

From cody on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 10:03:09

Thanks Brent. It is very hard to run on the road. Permanent jet-lag. Or in my case, car lag.

Paul-Jon-

If all goes well, we will be out the day of TOU. Plan your schedules accordingly (to be out of town just when we need help). Luckily Logan is immune to recession/boom. It is just Logan.

From Jon on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 10:23:52

Sept 20- on my schedule. It will be the end of my 100 mile week so I may be toast, but I'll be there.

From Jon on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 10:24:06

Where are you moving to?

From cody on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 10:39:56

We don't know where we will rent yet. Since it will be only 3-4 months we will probably find a small place to shack up. Any places you know of that do month to month or 3 months leases?

From Jon on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 10:42:42

They used to do month to month at those new apartments between Firehouse and my old place. Don't know if they still do.

From paul on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 10:44:03

The apts above the Sportsman on Main St. are month-to-month. Probably hourly too. Ha ha. Lot of crazy people there.

From David on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 11:20:29

Where is the house you are building? (Please don't say Hyrum)

From cody on Tue, Sep 02, 2008 at 11:40:42

David- about 9th west and 10th south in LOGAN. 1/2 mile from my current place. It is 2 houses away from Jon's place. Yep, don't know what I am getting into....

Paul- sounds exciting. Beth will love it.

Congrats on the sale of the cutest house in Logan. (That's why it sold so fast). Your new house will be the cutest when it's built. Or should I say it will be the studliest? Anyway, do you need help moving from us? Is that a loaded question?
