Wasatch 100 course -

My sister-in-law had a baby so a quick trip to SLC just HAD to happen (sarcasm).  We went by friday night and saw them so Saturday morning I opted out and went up into the mountains while everyone visited.  I decided to go check out the final 25 miles of the Wasatch course.  I have done miles 75 (Brighton) to 82 (Pole Line Pass Aid) before but today I wanted to see more of it.  I went on to mile 91 (Ruminant Spring) then shortcut back to mile 83 then backtracked to 75.  I was pretty happy to have a map with me cause there were lots of places to turn off.  I was especially glad they marked the spring cause my ultraspire pack was out of water and I was still 2 hours from the car.  Lifesaver.  I have to say after having run miles 75-91, that they are harder than miles 75-91 of the Bear.  "The Dive" wasn't a big deal, but "The Plunge" sucked.  I do have to say though, that the downhill from Sunset Pass to Ant Knolls is the worst though.  I would not want to do that in the dark.  It would be very slow.  That said, climbing back UP it was WAY worse.  Probably cause I was pretty calorie deficient but man it stunk.

Awesome run up there today. We were up on Sunset this morning, too. Beautiful views!

Thanks - I actually saw you three out running. I actually heard you before I saw you. Noisy gals! Looks like your run was quite the adventure. Gotta love the adventure runs...

Oh no, we weren't talking about childbirth, were we? Did we say hello? There were a good handful of people up there today and probably a dozen looked like serious runners. :-)

decibel level is simply showing that we have adequately learned how to communicate on single track trail. :) survival skill for women, really.

I doubt you actually saw me. I was sitting on a rock eating a snack while you gals discussed which way to go. Then you took the wrong trail down to the lake. But it looked like a cool trail to check out. Someday I will try it...

Maybe you need to turn down the tunes? No worries...
