I was really worried about running today.  I could feel my IT band complain while walking around the office.  Once I got to the trail, I warmed it up for a bit before heading out.  The amazing thing was it didn't hurt at all during the run (or after).  I did take it real easy both on the ups and the downs to not aggravate it.  We had a great chat and even got to see the Mt. Elmer fire smoldering up Cottonwood Canyon.  Looks pretty small.
