Took Ears for a run around the park and back. Then did the inner B-hills loop starting with the Secret street. My groin/ab/hip was soo tight. Had me wincing in pain. Ankle is holding up like a champ but I must figure out why the bike is making this other area sore because it really really screws up running.

I'm assuming you've done a professional bike fit?

That's been on the to-do list.

Sounds like the illiopsoas muscle to me. Be careful with that soreness...if you let it become a big issue, you could be out 4 months like I am!

Andrea- Thanks for that insight. I think that's what it is. After your post I looked up all the symptoms and issues related to the illiopsoas and their all spot on with my situation. So good to know what I'm up against instead of just guessing.

So what are you finding that works for treatment? Best stretches? ect.

It seems like the most important things are to massage it (I use a softball and roll on top of it) and to stretch it (Warrior move, Cobra - just type these in to google images). I hope it doesn't keep bothering you!

Thanks again for the help. This stuff is super useful. I'm afraid it's gonna be an issue that will need daily maintenance and may last awhile. But knowing what's hurting useful "helps" is a big advantage.
