I've been going to take our little dog Zoe out running and thought now's a perfect time with me running slow with the post marathon issues. So I got her all ready and we hit the street. She started out doing very good and I had planned on doing a 3 mile run with her. Well just before the half mile mark she was showing signs of or weakness. So I decieded we'd just do an out and back mile. By the time we turned around and headed home her run had turned into a fast walk with her toung hanging to the ground. I learned two things on that run. 1. was that shorter runs will work better for her and that she may never be a good running budy (legs are very short). 2. I found out on that run that I was feeling a lot better than I thought I was. So after bringing Zoe back home I went back out for the five mile loop. It felt pretty good until the last half mile or so I got a little sore. Overall I'm slowly getting it back. |
