Club run tonight at the DC. We did a shorter run around the 5 mile loop and extended up to the gas station before we left. Then I looped up around STG Ford and into Bloomington then back up the trail for a few more. As I was coming up the trail down in Bloomington Aaron came running up behind me and we chatted for a little over a mile back up to the DC. He pushed the pace so we hit that mile around 6:15 but the rest of the run was walkie talkie pace.

How's the hammy holding up?

From Superfly on Fri, Jan 08, 2010 at 12:14:25 from 208.117.127.110

The hammy has kind of taken on a Jekyll and Hyde approach. Some days I don't notice it at all or even some weeks. Then all of the sudden (like last night) it will ache all night long.

I've kind of stopped thinking about it. I figure if it ever heals then I'll really start racing again and if not I'll just enjoy running the miles I can get in when I can get them.

I dunn' oh... what do ya do?

That's rough man. I was hoping it was no longer an issue as you haven't referenced it in your entries the past few weeks.

Good luck making it a thing of the past. I know it's hard to plan any races when things aren't 'right,' but I'll ask anyway--any races in the near future you're at least hoping to run?

From Superfly on Fri, Jan 08, 2010 at 19:10:46 from 208.117.127.110

I'm going to run the Red Hot 50K + in Moab on Feb 13. It will be my first "official" race since STG in '08. Then after that if the hammy will allow I will do SLC as a training run and then Utah Valley (in June) as my first real marathon or road race. Then I'd like to train hard all summer and try to hammer another STG in the fall but this is all according to how the hammy feels.

What about you? Any big races this year?
