9.1 mile run this morning up around GS and back the long way around Middleton. I felt very fresh and good for Monday. I just have to keep squeaking out some decent milage until wrestling is over Feb 16, and hopefully then I can start really training again. (Stratus 87.1) 11 mile run up into GS then up onto the powerline trail and over to the water tank- then down around industrial park and home. Not a bad run. I had some food about a half hour before I left on the run and it kept coming up into my throat but other than that the run was fine. I'm not really ready for full on speed work but I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to crave a little tempo stuff or small surges during the runs. Most likely I'll just keep working on my base miles until the middle of February and then try to find a little speed somewhere. So for now I'll have to be happy with the short tempo/surges. |
