15 mile morning run. My wife and some of the other running girls were doing a 10 miler down the marathon course this morning so I decided to catch a free ride up and then just run home. Just wanted to run it nice and easy and get things going on a Monday morning. Ended up being right at 6:31 min/mile pace for the run. Felt pretty good with little to no effects from the hard run on Saturday-other than the regular Monday stuff (just a little fat, stiff, and sleepy). I'm still pretty jazzed about my run on Saturday. It wasn't a race but could have been one of my best running performances ever. Hopefully I'm not peaking too soon and will be able to continue to get faster until STGM. If that is the case there could be some good things to come? 7 mile run this evening. 106 degrees when I leave + 101 degrees when I get home= A crap-O-la run. I think I cursed myself by saying that the weather was feeling cooler. It was...then it's hot again. The run was just so, so. |
