A short run to finish off 2007. Now I'll start my official rest phase for the next four days and do No running until Saturday. However I will get a good workout in every day.

Clyde is this just tradition taking the days off from running?

From Superfly on Mon, Dec 31, 2007 at 16:09:29

Clay- No it's not tradition. I have planned all summer and fall to take around a week off during the middle part of the winter. It's just to refresh the body. Most runners should take a cycled time off during the year to stay healthy and be able to keep improving.

Hey Clyde - I know your going into your "rest" phase but, are you interested in doing a long run tomorrow morning for New Years Day? If you run it with me it still would be considered a "rest" run. Let me know.

Nice job at hitting 4,000 miles this year, I know it paid off for you. Have a nice week of rest, and a Happy New Year!

From Logan on Mon, Dec 31, 2007 at 19:38:03

Nice year of running. The rest week feels good. Even though I was sick last week it was nice to give the body a much needed rest. Your body will thank you later!
