Did a fairly taxing out and back run with Dave and Logan from Logan's house out through Keyenta and up the Gunlock road. On the way out we just chit chatted but still kept things moving hitting the turn around in 1:17:40. There are a lot of hills and rollers in both directions but going out is by far slower. At the turn we naturally increased the pace but didn't really get going until around 14.5 miles into the run. From then on it was a solid push. I worked the uphill sections at around 6:30 pace then pushed the downhill out at sub 5:30 pace. I hit over a 12 min negative split coming in at 1:05:08 for the return flight- a 6:30 avg. Really good workout at the end of a long week. Legs wanted to give up Friday morning but I was happy to see I could work through it and put together a solid run. Now I'm getting another head cold!
