Another sick morning. But I do feel better than last night. We'll see how the day goes and maybe get one in this evening...

13 miles this evening. Running was hard as I'm still trying to kick the sickness. I hope to shake this out of the system as soon as possible.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Our running group has had a bit of the stomach crap going on. It is in the air. Hope you feel better.

Thanks for the comment on the 40 miles. I wasn't for sure if I should post them as "road" miles, but like you said miles on your feet are miles that we should log. Hope you get feeling better..

Clyde - Take a day off because by running when your sick is going to make it worse because your breaking your immune system and nervous system even more.

Just to get miles in when your weak definitely can't help maintain your fitness it will just break you down.

Thanks Kory. I actually feel much better tonight than I did yesterday. I think I'm just about over it. However it might take a few days of slow, sloppy running to get all the crap out of my system.

Great, I don't want to see you get knocked down for your awesome training you've been doing for St. George.

Do you think it would benefit me trying to do one of the big workouts each week that you guys do leading up to St. George or do you think I should hold off?

From Superfly on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 09:41:18

Kory- I'd say yes and no... Yes because they are very marathon goal oriented. No because you haven't been doing them and I'm not sure if you should start this close- plus you just ran a hard marathon. I think the best thing you can do between now and STG is to make sure your fully recovered from the marathon you just ran... saying that if you really feel recovered already and feel you could handle a hard workout then I'd do it this week or the first part of next.

Again I"m no expert.

That's Clyde that's really some great advice. You are a great runner so I consider you somewhat an expert. I'll follow what you said, if I don't feel up to it by next week than I won't do it.
