To any one who reads my blog on a regular basis- Thank you and I'm sorry. It's more of a journal for me than anything. In fact since I joined the blog in early 2006 and since then I've faithfully blogged and it's the only time in my life that I've ever kept a record of any consistency- even better here than the 2 years as a missionary in norther England (sad I know).

So again I'm sorry but it's been a downer lately. In the movie Office Space the main character is talking about his job and life. He says something to the effect of "I hate my job... Every day is the worst day of my life and so today is the worst day of my life, tomorrow will be ect. Anyways I feel much like him as related to running. Every run lately is the worst run of my life. So today was the worst run of my life.  (DC loop extend through the Secret St. 7:11 avg but it felt like race day effort)

Clyde, I unfortunately have not been a regular reader but for some reason felt like checking in on you today. It has been too long and I'm sorry to arrive at a low point. I know there is nothing I can say that will help; however, just try and remember the last time this happened and how these things eventually come around again. Good luck and enjoy your weekend as best you can.

I'll admit, I've stalked your blog for a while now. And Steve's, and Dave's, and Logan's... You guys are just so awesome! Injuries suck. My big plans for St. George have gone pooh-pooh too with some stupid groin pain that just won't go away. I don't even know what caused it. I'm just scared to run thinking it might get worse and take longer to heal. Maybe its just time for you to take a week or 2 off.

I know its been a rough summer for you. Lots of folks got your back, though, and are pulling for you to feel better. Keep blogging, keep plugging away... take some down time if you need it (or can mentally handle it)... just keep fighting the good fight and things will eventually turn around!

Amen to what the others have said. We've all (at least most of us) have been in similar situations before (that feel like they'll never end!) and we'll certainly be there again...Knock on wood. Keep hang'n tough mentally and listen to the body. It'll turn soon.

Stay positive. It's awesome that you let people into your life, and not just the running part. Because of that there are a ton of people pulling for you to get on the mend. I know for a fact that there are quite a few runners at PVHS that talk of you in hushed tones. Your running class about Jurek at Badwater is legendary.

Thanks guys. Made my day reading through these. Travis I had forgotten about that.
