Fun run this morning with James from Logan, and his friend Damon Cox, and Steve Hooper. We meet up at the Dixie Center and went up the fire trail on Webb Hill and then down off onto the trail that loop around the river and back to the DC. Nice and cool this morning and fun to run with those guys.

Ran 6 more tonight with James. Around 6:40 pace. Went a little farther than I wanted to but it was a good little run. We did around a mile in bare feet on the golf course to help with biometrics.

Nice run Clyde your all set for Saturday.

I'm miles do you usually do during your taper week. I find that a two week taper is good enough.

OOPS. I meant to say how many miles do you usually do during your taper week? (have to love my gammar).

Clyde I really wanted to hit 60 last week and I thought I was going to be able to get out up at Pine Valley, but I just felt completely drained after our morning run, kind of weird. What was even more strange was this chest pain I had for much of the day on Saturday. Anyway, I appreciate you motivating me and I am going to do my best to hit at least 60 miles each week up until the marathon. I'm feeling pretty good today and I've already dropped the extra 5 pounds I gained last week out in Colorado, now I just need to drop about 10 more, to get down to a good competitive weight.

I thought I posted this ... and then I thought I needed to wish you good luck for this week since who knows when I'll get to a computer again, and then I noticed my first post wasn't here (so it may be in some weird place).

First - Damon Cox from here (originally)? If so, he is an old high school teammate of mine and a great guy. Also a very good runner, sub 2:40 marathoner.

Second - Good Luck this weekend. You are going to do amazing. Remember when you are going up there and go get it!

Ya, I knew that a few years ago he had blasted out a great time, but I couldn't remember exactly what it was. Call me up if you guys run again. Or if you want to go out for a little stretch before you take off.
