Got up early and went out for a longish run. I can't really call it a long run while training for this 50 miler but it still is longer than the regular run. I started at the DC and left on the Painters course but then ended up running through Bloomington Hills a few times looking at houses. Then I came back to the trail and dropped down into Bloomngton and looked at a few more houses before making my way back up to the Jeep. I had a feeling I'd run into Scott this morning and sure enough right by the freeway bridge I ran into him on the trail. We chatted and then once I started going again I was stiff... so instead of extending to 20 miles like I had planned I just ended back a the Jeep.

I felt o.k but not amazing by any means. The hammy was really tight and forced me to just run nice and easy and to focus on really good form. As bad form really jackes me up now-a-days. Anyways I feel pretty good now and will plan on trying another longer run tomorrow to go back-to-back and see how that goes.

Smart to cut it short when not feeling a little stiff. Not really a big difference going two miles short. I believe doing back to back long runs is more of a benefit anyway. This will build the endurance fast. Your going to do great in the 50 miler, because your always determined and you do whatever it takes to be successful.

What's the website to view the course of this 50 miler. Don't remember the name of the race.

Thanks for advice on my wheels.

Bill, Mike and I are meeting out at Brentwood Bowling Alley at 6 am. We are probably only going to run about 10 miles, but if you do the loop from the bowling alley out around the lake it is 13 miles.

Thanks Kory. The link for Squaw Peak 50 miler is: http://www.squawpeak50.com/sqw_mstr.htm

Dustin- I'll keep that in mind. I'm not sure what I'm going to do in the morning. I'll have to see what I feel like tonight and then decide.

Clyde- When is the 50 miler and are you going to run SG this year?

Nice workout today too, that's a long run by my standards;-)

Keep working hard!

Clay- I think it's the first weekend in June... like the 3rd or something.
