8.6 mile run this morning. I did the long GS loop in 1:10. It's slow going as most of it is on trails and uphill. Last night it rained most of the night and it made things pretty muddy this morning too. My hammy was tight and I started to wonder if this is even worth it anymore... It seems my drive to fight this injury is decreasing every day but I'm too scared to stop running for loss of fitness so the battle goes on.

I'm kind of pumped to jump into some painting projects here at home today to take my mind off of running. I also tore the old gold and glass shower door out yesterday and the bathroom looks 10 times  better. Mik'L wants to switch all the gold fixtures out for brushed nickel... it does look a lot better so far.

I felt like poo tonight and didn't run. I still had to take the YM to an activity and we went to Marley and Me a show about dogs... I cried and it was really sad over, and over again. Dogs are so special!

Whenever I find my desire waning or everything seems hopeless, I just try to think about how without the pain and suffering, our running accomplishments would seem hollow. When you finally pull though, it will seem so much better just because of that. Easier said than done, I know.
