Marathon - 4:19 (Tulsa Route 66 Nov. 2006)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Would love to eventually break 23 minutes for a 5K...or even around 22 minutes. That may entail some weight loss on my part. Planning on another half in November...and hope to break my PR.

Well why not. First entry ever. I found out about this site through Randy McDermott. We've known each other for about 12 years.

 As for the run...

9 miles along the Riverparks late this morning at a 9:43 pace. Typical Oklahoma weather...upper 80s and a dewpoint around 70...south wind. Breathing felt good. Right calf a little tight on mile 9.

Weights at the Y...chest and arms. I've neglected my strength training over the past 3 months and it shows. Pathetic...but I have to start back somewhere.

 3 miles on the treadmill. 6x440 around a 1:40-1:45 pace with a 440 jog inbetween.

 Right knee was sore this morning but felt fine after warming up.

Just started graveyard shifts...which always crushes my running for a week. Funny thing is...I sure feel a lot better if I force myself out the door and get a few miles in.

Only had 5 hours sleep this morning.

4 miles at 9:09 pace in stinking hot weather. 92F with a 71F dewpoint.
