Did a speed workout today. (first one since before the marathon over 5 weeks ago) Ran down to the track for warmup (about 2 miles) Then did 5x800s with a 400 jog at (2:10-2:20) in between. Splits were 2:56, 2:54, 2:54, 2:53, 2:52. I'm not going to lie-it was tough today and I am tired. The effort was hard and I know I have lost some speed-by the 5th one I was feeling the lactic acid and was completely wiped out. Anyway-I was happy with the workout but dissapointed with how crappy I felt. |
