Ran my long run on the treadmill today bc it feels better on my achilles to run on the mill than all the hills outside. Did the first mile at 8:30 pace then I settled into a 7:48 pace for the next 5 miles, bumped it up to a 7:42 pace for the next 8 miles, then I started picking it up for the last 3.5 miles. Splits were 7:35, 7:15, 7:10 and 6:45 pace for the last 800. Felt pretty good. The first 10 miles were actually the roughest (legs definitely took some warming up before they felt ok) I think I had a pretty good run minus a couple very short breaks to help the kids, and one potty break. I don't think I have ever sweat so much in my life-may as well have jumped in the pool-anyway I am glad its over. Hopefully achilles will feel better so I can do long runs outside because it is monotonous on the mill. (avg pace 7:40)
