Husband was off today so it was nice to actually run outside. Did a fartlek run. Ran 8x800s with .25 in between. (goal was to keep the recovery somewhat fast as to have an overall fast time for the workout) Ran 1.25 warm up then did a loop. Splits were 3:10 (ran the 400 jog in 2:00) 3:05 (rest 1:46) 3:01 (1:47) 2:57 (1:46) 3:09 (1:47) 3:15 (1:52) 3:39 (1:49) 3:05-then cooled down. Not including my warmup and cooldown-my avg pace for 5.75 miles was 6:36. This was the first time in a LONG time that I have felt really good running...

Great workout. Those are some killer times. I love your "recoveries" at 7;30 pace.

Thanks Kam!! I like trying workouts where I keep the recovery somewhat fast:) sounds strange I know.
