Got up this morning and did 3x1.5 mile intervals with .25 in between. I did them on my usual 6.5 mile course.  (I have taken the past 3 days off just because my body has felt "off" and so tired lately. After my 14 mile run on Saturday I was so tired and sore and I feel that lately it is taking me longer to recover between hard workouts. Not sure if I am burnt out or what is going on. I just bought some iron supplements (because I have been low on iron before) I know my training times are good-but my body feels weak and tired. Anyway I know that this should be my "push" week in training but I feel I have to listen to my body and give it a small break in order to come back hopefully stronger. I am looking to take the next couple days pretty ez and have a strong solid hard run on Saturday. Anyway-enough ranting-sorry...        -Goal was to run these intervals fast but keep my recovery short and pretty fast pace also. My splits were 9:19 (6:12 pace) recovery was 1:43 for .25. 2nd split was 8:45 (5:50 pace) (1:57 recovery) 3rd split 9:38 (6:25 pace). (First one was slight net uphill, 2nd was MAJOR downhill, 3rd was net uphill finishing on a steep uphill) Overall pace for fast and slow sections for all 5 miles was 6:17.  I did this workout about a month ago and my interval sections were 4-5 seconds per mile faster so I am happy about that:) I am happy with my times and I did feel better today-so hopefully the days off have helped....

finished with some fast strides....
