Got up and did a tough 15 miler this morning..Plan was to do 8 easy followed by 7 at marathon pace. First 8-avg pace of 7:20...(Took one short gu/gatorade stop at mile 7) Last 7 splits were (first 2 downhill-last 5 at track) 6:14, 6:17, 6:31,6:28,6:29,6:26,6:11...(6:23 avg) I felt good today! (Maybe it was my new kinvara shoes:)-I feel like this training cycle has been a rollercoaster of feeling good one day and not so good the next...Hopefully I am peaking at the right time for UVM. My goal is to run a sub 2:55... (6:40 pace) (Can't believe its 2 weeks from Saturday!) Happy running!! |
