Got up and did a 10 mile tempo at goal marathon pace. Did 2 mile warmup. (First two of tempo were downhill, the rest at the track) Splits were 6:08, 6:17, (short stop as the track gate was closed-had to find a new way in) 6:24, 6:21, 6:22, 6:22, 6:22, 6:22, 6:19, and 6:00. Avg overall pace was 6:18. (a little faster than marathon pace) I got into a rythm and I felt good and relaxed- I am happy about this one. Hopefully I can get into a rythm during the marathon. |
