I changed my template to the Jack Daniel's. I don't like not being able to see my mileage on the calendar month when I put my biking mileage into trainer 1 or trainer 2. It doesn't show up on my monthly total page. So I'll put it in how I've been doing it until there's a better option.

Trainer 1 and Trainer 2 are for tracking the mileage on your shoes. For the bike mileage use the conversions suggested by Ben. He has the right idea. Divide your final mileage by 3 or your final time by 10 and log the mileage with your running mileage.

Or there is a template that tracks running miles, biking miles and swimming miles. Or like mine it had crosstraining miles as well (you could put the biking miles in there and it still adds them all together). Take a look at all of them and see which one would work best for you.

Cheston I hope all this has not put a bad taste in your mouth for the blog. You look like a great athlete and I hope you continue to blog and train. Good luck with your half ironman, this is one of my goals someday. I would love to do a full as well.

That's good advise, thanks. I'd still like to be able to see a total biking mileage somewhere. I'd like to see it on my calendar month.

I know this is a running blog, it's where I started. I've received some good advice over the last few years.

I'd prefer to stay with this blog and not switch to a biking blog. I'm a runner, I'm just trying something different for awhile.

I'm running the St. George marathon with my wife in October. Running is my passion, I'll always be one. I don't like the idea of people trying to force me into using another blog, just because I've decided to bike and swim for awhile.

I guess what I'm asking for is a biking option with this blog. A way of being able to see my total biking mileage and my running mileage. I wouldn't have a problem putting them into the right category then. Until that option is available, I'll have to do what I've been doing.

I don't like divided my biking mileage. I want to see all my biking mileage. I want to be able to keep track of what I'm doing for me and for my training.

If people are confused and need to know in what area of training my mileage falls, read my blog. I always put if it was running or biking miles.

Maybe the high mileage list needs to be updated? It should reflect cross training miles, running, biking swimming etc... That would avoid the confusion many are seeming to have and the jealously that many seem to focus on.

I'm just a humble athlete. I just want to work out and keep a record of what I've done.

Provide the proper tools to do this and there wont be problems in the future.

I think Sasha is working on something:) Did you ever know you where so popular;)

I had no idea. It must be the ripped body of mine.

I just looked at the Jack Daniel's cross-training version. I could put my biking miles into the cross-training section, but I would still prefer to be able to log them as biking miles and not just miscellaneous miles.
