I ran .50 on the treadmill barefoot to get a sense of how my footfall may be contributing to the plantar fasciitis and to see if I had much pain after the run. I did have some pain that was consistent but not awful. The pain is on the outside of my heel, making me wonder if there is something other than the PF going on.

I swam 1400m at Fairmont.  I cut off a little from the swim as a concession to recovering from this cold.

No running. No surprise. I swam 1700m at Fairmont.  Added more kick boarding and more "sprinting," which I've come to realize is probably a truly heinous sight.

No running.  I did a 30 minute "cardio" workout on the elliptical cross-trainer in the gym at our office. It actually wasn't bad and involved a somewhat reasonably similar approximation of a simulated emulation of a model of the running form. Did a little core workout after that. It was nice to sweat, at least. Also, there was no noticeable impact on my foot after doing this exercise.

No running. I did a 33 minute workout on the elliptical cross-trainer. It seems to stress my foot just enough for it to be noticeable, but not painful.

Law Day 5k.  Due to injuries, I couldn't really race but I did want to participate. So I pushed the boys in the double stroller and Heather ran along with us too. We finished in about 30 minutes. Jack wanted to get in and out of the stroller to run a few times, so there was quite a bit of stopping and all of that.  Not quite the 5k experience I'm used to, but it was fun to be with the family.  My foot did pretty well during the race, but predictably, hurt most of the day afterward. I'm planning to stay off of it for the next three weeks at least, then see where I am.  Until then, swimming, cross-trainer, etc.
