Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run 3-4 days a week, and increase the mileage on my long run each week.

Long-Term Running Goals:

In 2009 I would like to do 2 half marathons and 1 sprint triathlon.

Personal:

I have always been athletic, but started running more seriously at the start of 2007. I had to take a few months off in the summer and fall. I had twins boys in Oct 2007 (hence the time off). I lost a lot of weight when I had them, but managed to gain some of it back. We have a double stroller, which is the hardest workout when I take the boys for a jog.

I decided to do 5 miles today.  I ran 2.5 and stopped to stretch because my hips really hurt from my Sat. long run.  Anyway, when I got back up my legs were like Jello.  I felt like I had no control over them at all. I finally felt okay a mile later.  I finished the run in about 56 minutes. I really can't decide what I hate more, running 10 miles slow and easy, or pushing myself for 5 miles.

I ran 7 miles and brought a bottle of water.  I was so surprised how much of a difference it made.  I actually finished pretty strong.  I think I finished in avout 1 hour and 24 minutes.  I maintained a 12 minute mile pace, and I was happy with that!
