Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to run 3-4 days a week, and increase the mileage on my long run each week.

Long-Term Running Goals:

In 2009 I would like to do 2 half marathons and 1 sprint triathlon.

Personal:

I have always been athletic, but started running more seriously at the start of 2007. I had to take a few months off in the summer and fall. I had twins boys in Oct 2007 (hence the time off). I lost a lot of weight when I had them, but managed to gain some of it back. We have a double stroller, which is the hardest workout when I take the boys for a jog.

This was my first run since I hurt my back, so I didn't want to push it.  I went with Mik'L and it was nice to run with her again.  We are both trying to take it easy, so short runs for us for a while. Well, for me at least.

This was the Chelsea Petersen (spelling) fun run.  I did not personally know her, but Mik'L did, so I went with her.  TONS of people and a decent run for 10 PM

My goal was to do 4-5 miles.  Possibly pushing it since my doctor told me to keep my miles low, which for me is in the 2-3 range.  Anyway when I woke up, I was NOT feeling well, and it was everything in me to convince myself to go.  I decided to just do 2-3.  After a mile into the run I thought I could go longer, but trusting my body and my gut, told me to only do 3 which is what I did.  It was a good thing too, because at about 2.5 miles, I wasn't doing too hot and basically had to walk the rest.  I hope it is not because I am THAT out of shape from the week off for my back.  I don't think it is because I did the 5K on Tuesday just fine.  I think I just had a bug or something.

My running schedule will most likely be changing because of my husbands work schedule.  He is also training for the marathon which is more important.  I think the Sept half marathon is out of the question, but maybe the one in November.  I may turn my workout efforts towards Pilates to strengthen my back a bit more, and that way I can do that at home when the boys are sleeping.  I will still try to get a run in here or there.

BTW....  I LOVE Winsor Pilates but seem to have misplaced my 20 min workout.  If somebody out there has it and doesn't use it, I would love to purchase it from you :)
