This was actually a little over 8 miles and I did it in about 1 hour and 40-45 minutes. The dumb Garmin watch kept turning off on me, so I don't know the exact distance ore time, since I have never run that far and the course was unfamiliar. I do know it was at least 8 because I turned around at a little after 4 miles. I had the "Across the Universe" sound tract to keep me company. It was COLD. I couldn't imagine what the marathoners did last week in about the same weather plus rain. After that run, I think I might be ready for the Half Marathon at the beginning of November, but I am still hesitant to sign up. If I do it I will take my SWEET time and probably run like a 11-14 minute mile pace. |
