Dear mom,

Sorry I haven't called.  I just wanted to let you know that I ran 3 miles today.  It was 104 degrees out.  Not much else is going on.  Talk to you later.

Love,

Burt

I hope my kids write messages to me on their fastrunningblog page someday. Something more like, "It was great to talk to you yesterday. This morning I ran 20 miles @ 5 min pace and an Olympic gold is within reach." But 3 miles is good too.

Julie - they will. They will.
