I had so much fun at the 5K today!  Thanks Allie and James for putting that on.  It was fun to celebrate your special day with you!  It was also great to meet so many FRB runners in person.  I met Allie, Bonnie, Tara, Kam, Kelli, Catherine, Eric (facelessghost), Andrea, Jake K, Carina, James (fiddy) and the entire Sasha Pachev family!  I also saw RAD after her awesome 1:30 AF Half finish time!  Today was really inspiring.  It was great to be surrounded by so many runners who work hard each week and are dedicated to such a positive activity.  I think the most inspiring part of today was watching all those Pachev kids kick some major trash!  They are incredible.  It was fun to watch Jake and Andrea's team fly around the track, too.

Anyway, here is my race report: I've got my work cut out for me.  I could pretty much stop there. :)  I wanted to get a good baseline, so it was nice to have this flat 5K today.  And let me tell you, we're starting pretty low here folks.  But I guess that's too be expected since it's only been 5 weeks since baby girl came.  It's been about 1.5 years since I've been where I want to be running wise, but now I can start working on it again and I'm happy about that.

Thanks Smooth! :) Wish you could run, too. But you'll be back and eventually all this SF stuff will be so far behind you. :)

Great job, Brooke! Just think how much fun you are going to have over the next few months where you will get faster, literally, every week. We don't get to make progress that fast very often. It will be a fun time for you. Keep it up!

Catherine, it was so good to meet you, too! Your baby is beautiful! Love those big brown eyes. :)

Thanks Matt! That is a good way to look at it. :) It will be nice when I don't feel like a slug moving through tar! It's so nice to be running normal again. :)

Way to go Brooke! Good baseline for sure. You will bring that time down in no time. I am still impressed with you, just having a baby. Geeze. I added you to the automatic texts for the girls run by the temple. I will add you to the facebook page for group runs. They are exasperated.
