PM - lunchtime treadmill workout.  6 x 800 at just under 6 min per mile pace; with a 3 min recovery jog; followed by 1 mile at 5:59.  Warm up and short cool down.  Good workout.

PM - 4 miles at lunchtime - recovery run.  Interesting - I don't normally wear a watch on recovery runs - but I did today out of curiosity.  My perceived effort felt reasonably even but the splits were not.  I only ran to a point at which I felt like I was "pushing".  First mile 10:48, second 9:41, third 8:33, fourth 8:04.  Crazy.

Riley ran a 5k time trial yesterday at my request - to gauge her fitness before running NYC in less than 3 weeks.  23:21 was her time.  I will be running with her and her boyfriend to "pace" them in their first marathon.  Feeling encouraged that it appears less likely that I will be out on the race course with them for over 4.5 to 5 hours as once was predicted.

AM - just a shade under 16 miles with Riley this morning.  Hilly course - but much cooler and windier this week.  She continues to show improvement in strength/endurance.
