| PM - 5 miles on the treadmill - kinda felt off. Took yesterday off, unplanned, was in a funk. My dog Jake passed away yesterday and I was just wasn't feeling it. He was a good dog. 14 years. So anyway, I think the lack of a run yesterday threw me off a bit today.

| AM - got in about 7.5 miles this morning before work - felt a bit stiff and slow. Bunch of family in town for a couple of days - displaced me from my bed to an air mattress - the likely cause of my stiffness.

| AM - decent 7 mile run this morning before work. Hoped to get a few more miles in but did not get out early enough.

| PM - hopped on the treadmill after work and just decided to "run" but with no specific plan in mind - turned-out perhaps sub-tempo to threshold at times but overall just a good honest effort - without looking HRM or being cautious. Hammered out a little over 8 miles, wore myself out, but it felt good. Body is finally getting back to a point where I can just decide to run.

| AM - 4 miles shake out run. Expected to be a bit sore from yesterday evening's treadmill run - and I was. But started slow and really was no worse for the wear. Will get a few more miles in later this afternoon or evening.
PM - got an additional 4 miles in in the afternoon.

| PM - 14 miles on a cool rainy afternoon. Enjoyed the run - always good when you finish a long run feeling like you ran a decent pace, and don't feel as though you are spent for the day.
