I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

I had a doctor's appointment today and they did x-rays of my leg. Turns out I have a stress fracture in my tibia. The doctor said I can run once every other day so we'll see how that goes...hopefully I'll be better soon!

I biked 9 miles in 30 minutes and then pool ran for 30 minutes. I did a 5 minute warm-up then 4 sets of 3 minutes hard 1 minute easy and a cooldown.

I ran 6 miles from my school. I took it easy and ran 8:50 pace. My leg hurt but no more than normal. My HR was still high even though I used the inhaler. Afterwards I pool ran for about 30 minutes.

I did elliptical for 30 minutes. It hurt my shin a little bit but not as bad as running. Then I pool ran for just over 20 minutes. I did 6x2 minutes hard 30 seconds easy.

6 miles up on pipeline trail it was an awesome run. When I started the weather was perfect. It looked like it was going to rain but it had looked like that all day so I didn't think it was going to. About two miles in it started to rain a little but not too bad. By the time i got to the turn around it was pouring and continued to pour the rest of the run. On the way back I threw in some strides. I did about 5 or 6 of them, a minute or more each. My shin hurt a little but more towards the beginning. It seems like the calf muscle hurts more than the actual tibia but I'm not sure.
