Today we ran one mile slow and then one mile of speed changes with one lap recovery. Then we did 4x1200 with one lap slow and just over a minute for recovery. For my 1200's I ran:
1: 4:40
2: 4:48
3: 4:58
4: 4:56
My legs were tired and I just felt stiff. My calves have been hurting, but I think I'm just not used to my spikes yet. I wasn't hitting the times I wanted to but I think it was just an off day. Also I ran 12 miles the day before so that may have affected it. After the workout we did a lap around the block which is about two miles. |
