4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

2:06:37.  Maybe close to 15, I am not sure. I went out to Campbell Mesa (just like last week) - but I am getting much more acclimated to the altitude, I ran the first loop faster than last week and had a lot more energy for the final loop so I was booking it pretty hard the last 20` (not as fast as on the road because it is rocky and steep in many places on the trail.  I just felt GOOD.

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend bloggers!

Well, you gotta love a day when you feel that GOOD! Sounds fun.

I remember trying to convince my brother that Flagstaff has a higher elevation than Denver.

"No, Denver is the highest place in the US!"

"Actually Denver is called the 'Mile High City' because it's altitude is 5,280 feet, but Flagstaff is higher."

"You're wrong, Burt. You're wrong."

feeling GOOD at that altitude is a great sign. nice job, bonnie.

burt - the government just told me that flagstaff's new nickname is the 1.32575 mile high city. go tell your brother.

Yes! Although, even though I joined cross country when I was a sophomore and my brother was a senior, the only race he beat me in was in Flagstaff. Maybe I'll just let it be.

Love to hear "just felt good!"

Oh, and Salt Lake County actually has the highest average elevation of all counties in the 48 states. Sorry :)

*don't ask me for a reference...I researched it back in Jr High and the internet doesn't go back that far*

Love runs that feel like that! I would be sucking wind and trying to get DOWN!

Bonnie, I think you can acclimate to anything. You are the most awesome high temperature and high elevation runner that I know.

RAD, I think someone gave you some bad information in Jr. High.
