4 mile: 28:10 (2005)

10K: 43:33 (2010)

10 mile: 1:13:35 (2009) (1:12:15 split in 1/2 marathon, 2011)

1/2 marathon: 1:34:31 (2011)

marathon: 3:19:15 (2013)

Short-Term Running Goals:

3:20 marathon - Eugene Marathon, April 28, 2013 (can I say I really want a sub 3:20? but I will be happy with 3:20-3:23) -- whoohoo!

Some good intermediate races 15K - 1/2 marathon, to gauge my fitness level (done this, hit a 1:34:35 1/2 marathon in March 2013, on a hilly course)

Going after my 10 mile PR in Fall 2013

Maybe some good 10K races after the infernal Arizona summer is over!

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to be one of those runners who is still running in their 80s (or 90s?).  You know the ones, who look all grisley and fit?  That is what I would like!  Until then, I just want to work hard and be as fast as I can, for as long as I can.

Ran up the Yeatman trail, added on a little to make it a 70` run. I tried a new trail, beautiful views but very technical and sort of scary (long drop, rocky, not even single track).  I don't think I will run that much, although from my vantage point I saw a trail that looked interesting ... that one looked much more "running friendly".  Maybe next Friday I will try to get over to it.

Spent all day with Dean at the outpatient surgery center.  The surgery went well.  The doctor was emphatic that he stays completely off of the foot.  He now has a screw that is holding the bone in place and if he puts any pressure what-so-ever on it before the new bone grows around it then it will not hold.  So he has to wear this huge boot on his foot even in bed, has to use crutches for everything, can't drive, and is pretty useless (even for bug-killing which is most definitely his job).  He is doing well considering, and it being March Madness and all isn't that hard for him to be a couch potato.

I hope you are doing well!

Glad the surgery went well. Hopefully he won't have to be a couch potato for too long (for your sake; he might enjoy being waited on, at least for a little while).

Good miles!

Hope Arizona can get in the final four. I think they have a pretty good shot at it. Anybody who beats Duke is alright in my book, even if I am an ASU fan.

I am with you AZDesertmoons!! I was also not happy to see UKY win last night, I thought they played dirty. What was with Harrellson being allowed to throw that ball at another player???

Your trail sounds scary.

I hope that Dean heals quickly.
