20 minutes of swimming and then 3 miles on the tread mill and low 7:00 pace. It felt good. I've run a bit over the weekend but I don't really know how long or far because I ran new places and my watch broke during my mission. Oh well. Coach Houle instructed me to keep it to 3 miles per day for now so I will do that. Its important to remember that I'm an inexperienced 19 year old that's lucky to be on the team and he's trained many very success athletes and raised up a lot of national championship teams and Conference Champions, and Cam Levins and others like him. So its easy for me to accept his wisdom and without thinking that I know what I can do better. I'm excited to get in shape and have all kinds of fun running this summer, the plan is that I will be back up to 60-70 per week when I get to SUU this fall. Sounds good to me!

I can't help but reflect on how lucky I've been with the coachs I've had/will have. Coach Murphy is an amazing coach and without him there's no way I could've made it to the division 1 level! I guess I will just do warm upsand stuff at practice for awhile, I will come tomorrow, hopefully I can also learn all the coaching wisdom possible from Coach Murphy during this time when I can go to practice alot!

My running is starting to come together for this year. Last summer I had a stress fracture in my left ankle. It healed well, but mentally I was afraid to push it after that I am just getting to the point now where I am not afraid of doing some speed.

I have a track meet coming up this next weekend. Will be running the 1500m. Not really 100% prepared for it, but it will be good to see what I need to work on..

I had a couple of stress fractures in high school, they got me my sophomore year during both seasons, they're no fun. Good luck in the 1500m, I'm excited to see how you do!
