Today is hot! I ran a good pace for today's run, good stuff. It didn't feel like a recovery run because its like 105 out there but 50% was on grass so not bad. My body feels like it wanted a nice and cool 8 miles this morning, part ofnme also didn't want to iump from 30 to 50+ miles in one week so I'm taking this weekend a little easier. Tomorrow will be like 5-7 miles with the 3 mile timed run in there, my goal range is 5:30-5:40, I figure if I want to be a contributing member of the team next year or the year after I need to be under 5:00 pace for 3 miles timed. I want to run under 5:20 pace for my last timed run before I leave for suu. That would put me in about as good xc shape as I've ever been before I get there and start doing speed workouts and stuff. |
