Really fun workout with the farm team today. We did a big 400m repeat workout that I really enjoyed.

we did 10x400m at 1:20ish pace, with 60 seconds recovery. The top guys were doing 75s, and I was supposed to do 82s, so I usually stuck around 80. I think in the future I'm going to push my tempo pace up just a little bit more, see if I can improve some. Regardless, I went into robot mode and just cranked these out.

Then we did 4x400m, going 2 seconds faster each one, then all out the last one. I went 76, 73, 70, 58. Yeah, I was feeling super duper good, so I dropped a 58 on the last one, that felt pretty epic. This should be a fun track season.

Nice 3 mile tempo run around the campus loop, ran it in 17:55 or something close to that.

Really good race, took 7th overall and I think I paced it really well, went fast but smooth up the first hill, stayed strong on the downhill, and then made a move to separate myself from Jared from the farm team and another guy arund mile 2. I slowly pulled ahead, and was far enough ahead that I didn't have to kill myself and throw up going around the track, so that was nice. 5k's are such a wild race to me, so fast and pretty intense. Stacy was there cheering me on, so that was nice, and then ate some blue pancakes to top it all off. Also, I saw one of the most inspiring things of my life. Mckenzie Buenning ran a 5k, which is just incredible because considering how she was in a coma a few years ago and people weren't even sure if she would even walk again, it was just miraculous.
