Today was awesome, did a one mile warm up and then we started our speed workout. I was looking at the times for each group in the speed workout and I realized that my time would put me in the second fastest group and I was like h*ck nah!! So I went with the top group for the workout. We started off with a 1600 at goal 5k pace and I ran it in 5:21. we had four minutes of rest between each set and we had to drop out average 400 pace by 5 seconds each set. then we did a 1200 I ran it in 3:55.next was an 800 I got 2:28. Then a 400-67 and we finished with two 200s but we only had two minutes of rest between each of those, I got 31 on both of them. Cooled down to 7.5 with Connor and then ice bathed like champions kms lol. I feel confident and ready to PR at nxr and my goal of breaking 17 is right there for me to get which a month ago I thought wasn't possible but I've had some awesome training so imma go get it. Up next after that is medaling at footlocker, so if I can do both of those things I will consider senior xc season a success. |
