Visited the PT today for my first eval prior to the gait training. Found that my right hip/glute/adductor muscles are much weaker than on the right. Ran for about 4 mins while the PT videoed me and he found also that I tend to run like I am on a tight rope, adductor dominant. He then had me run to a metronome to keep cadence and videoed me again. Wala, form cleaned up.
I will go 3/x per week for about 2.5 weeks and will run for about 30 mins on the treadmill there doing all sorts of gait training. The kicker ... no running outside of PT until I am done. Yikes! |
