| Fun run that turned tempo. Easy warmup mile 7:29, 4 slightly uphill, 6:41, 6:39, 6:36, 6:31. The return splits were 6:17, 6:24, 6:16, 6:11, 5:57. Finished with a cool mile easy and called it a day. Saw Bill Hiatt at the water fountain and talked for a minute. April ends up being a PR month for me and everything feels peachy post injury. Very happy with this and excited to race the half this weekend.

| Had a new guy come to the group work today so we took the long warmup route and did 3 repeats instead of 4. Hit them all hard but they really felt smooth and fluid. 5:15, 5:11, 5:00. Ran with Caleb today, he is an awesome runner. We ran stride for stride today. I thought it was great having him set the pace. Turns out he thought I was setting it lol. Looks like we make a great team pushing each other. |

| Moving blood on the elliptical. Push ups, planks, crunches, dips, and resistance bands after. Nice recovery day. |

| Fun early run with the Wolfpack lol...Scott, Dan, Jody, and Matt. Such a good time today. Ran a little up the canyon and back. So nice this morning. Easy fun run with a faster mile at mile 7 (5:46). Cherished moments filled by talks of dismemberment, gruesome deaths, enduromax, & flatulance. I love these mornings haha. |

Finally put together a good race today. This is a big PR for me so I am very happy. The plan was that there wasn't much of a plan lol. I really didn't have a good idea of where my fitness level is race wise so this was the weather gauge. I just decided to go out and push it and then hold even the whole race. I did that for the most part. I faltered a little at mile 8 when I could not get my GU out of my shorts pouch in time so I stopped to get a drink. This got me a little flustered and the negative thoughts started to creep in a bit. Marie had the best timing ever. She was on the side cheering and recognized me and just jumped in and ran with me until mile 10. It was perfect. She totally reset everything, made me feel better, and sent me on my way strong for the last 5k. Splits were a bit all over but so was the elevation drops down the canyon so I think the effort level was even. 5:52, 5:42, 6:15, 6:03, 6:00, 6:04, 6:05, 6:06, 6:21, 6:04, 6:20, 6:03, 5:59. last bit at 5:11 pace. Huge confidence booster for UVM next month. So cool to finally meet so many of the FRB crew who rocked the races today! Congrats to everone on all of the awesome performances!
