First Circuit race of the year and I had a good time with this one.  We were staying with the Murphys this weekend and this gave me a chance to catch up on old times with Rob and get in this race.  I knew that I would get a good butt kicking since I haven't done any real training yet and haven't felt that old energy for the road racing, but today brought a lot of that back.  Time to set aside some of the trail fun and get training.  This will be the best year for Masters on the Circuit ever.

5 mile warm up.  The race felt really fast for me, seeing over 17 at the finish line was a surprise.  But that's to be expected seeing how the first mile was faster than I have ran since the Alta race last Fall.  It was a ton of fun and I'm excited to have something to push hard for now.  The Masters are competitive this year!  Rob ran a great 5k, pulling a 17:50 out of nowhere.  Steve Ash looked way smooth.  He's going to have a good year.  Sasha is as steady as a rock, the usual.  Walter is pretty much the man at the longer distance stuff.  Dennis can come out 50 and still show us all who's boss.  Scott is going to have to be the target.  :-)  He's in a league of his own right now.

3.8 at lunch taping video with the Boston crowd.

Nice seeing you Steve. Nice run just getting back into some faster turnover. You are as fast as any master (who is not turning 40 in the next month or two :)).

Great race Steve. I'm happy to hear this stoked a little road-racing fire for ya! It was good to see you as always.
